Gastronomic Experience At Seasons of Manila Pavilion

Celebrating life's milestone in a hotel setting restaurant is a perfect way to mark the new chapter of my son's life. Thanks to Cash Cash Pinoy that made internet deals at an affordable price, we were able to enjoy a lavish and stylish buffet at Seasons of Manila Pavilion for my son's 21st birthday. It was a very hearty lunch of International dishes.

Chennai Revisited

Temple of Shiva in Chennai, India
It has been almost two(2) decades since I first set foot in Madras, India. During that time, we stayed for forty five (45) in port when hubby's vessel was discharging grains as aide from the USA that needed to be bagged before it can be discharged. It was at a time when hubby was still a young, newly promoted and  dashing Master.
One of my treasured memories  of Madras, was when a movie was filmed in the ship, meeting face to face with their local actors and actresses. They shot the film under extreme heat because the vessel's air condition system was not functioning well that time, but they did it with-out any complaints at all.

Life Goes On

It has been  a week since  the visco injection was done to augment the depleted cartilages of my knees, and thus far, only the area where the needle was inserted remained bluish.  No swelling was observed around the knee  joints, with only a little pain  felt during stretching exercises.
It's time for myself to get back to life's  normal  routine, through aqua aerobics activities and swimming, armed with a positive attitude in  holding on to the belief that things will get better in the coming days.

Top 10 Signs and Symptoms of an Advance Stage HIV-AIDS Infected Person

HIV, or the human immunodeficiency virus, is a sexually transmitted disease that assails the immune system. The virus attacks your CD4 cells (or T4 cells), which are necessary to fight off illnesses. Eventually, the virus overwhelms the CD4 cells and your body becomes unable to fight off diseases and infections. Once your body's CD4 cell count falls below 200 per cubic millimeter of blood, and/or an opportunistic infection takes hold of your weakened immune system, you will be diagnosed with AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). Symptoms of HIV vary according to what stage of the infection you are in and only HIV testing can tell you if you have the disease.

The Seafarers being always away from their loved ones are perceive to be exposed to the high risk of contracting the deadly disease. For better understanding of the ailment and its predicaments below facts are gathered to increase awareness of the disease and its impact to the family and society in general.
What are HIV/ AIDS?
Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) is an infectious disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). There are two variants of the HIV virus, HIV-1 and HIV-2, both of which ultimately cause AIDS.
Of all the test results that one has to take, it is during medical examinations that we always hope to see all a negative result to the entire laboratory test done to us. Even a positive test result in pregnancy is not a welcome result during pre-employment medical exams.
