Hilot Massage at Elizabeth Hideaway Hotel and Restaurant in Puerto Galera

For the past two weeks  the numbness on both thighs and legs kept me away from the usual activities in life. It was an ordeal to stand and walk alone unaided. Normal blood chemistry,  x-ray and ultra sound findings made doctor's prognosis more difficult. It was quite bothersome and worrisome, for fears of becoming disabled. Hubby's friend shared his experience of the healing massage (hilot)  with the man called ''Danny" at the Elizabeth Hideaway and Resort in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.

With-out any delay we troop to the island and discovered not only the beauty of the place in Boquete Island, Brgy. Sto. Nino but the amazing touch of a very simple man.
It was not like the usual massage (thai, shiatsu, or ''hilot"') that you felt drained when your back and other body parts and muscles were touched. It was only a simple finger run through in some pressure points of our bodies. What  makes it more different is that he wanted you to take a shower first, before the "hilot" starts, or let you swim at the swimming pool where the water stayed lukewarm all day and night or at the beach afterwards.  After every session, he encourages you as well, to keep on moving, swim again or simply walk at the beach sand barefoot. The massage (hilot) sessions was done every evening or morning or at an interval that you wish to.
Some activities in the island to make your stay more enjoyable are:

Coral reef bottom viewing
Morning and evening walk at the beach before and after the ''hilot"  session
Boquete Island is connected to the mainland during low tide
The yacht at Puerto Galera  for island hopping
Is it faith or coincidence, all I can say is that, it was a wonderful island  experience!
