Wonderful Experience at the Happiest Place on Earth

Being in Disneyland, wherever it maybe located in the world, will always be  a dream come true for the young and those who wish to be "forever young". We've been to Hong Kong, Disneyland in 2006 and during our stopover in the City of Angels, CA we got the chance to see the difference.

Tourism and Community Development : A look back at Cape Town, SA through the Heart of a Warrior

As I recall the places I travelled, for this year's World Tourism Day, I chose to write how I left Cape Town with a warrior's heart.
We were  at anchor in Cape Town when the South African icon Nelson Mandela passed away last December 2013. The ship's traffic can be an indicator that Cape Town's economy is indeed booming and beaming. Is it because of tourism? Partly, YES, because the place is  well endowed with Mother Nature's bounty.

Dropping by Island Cove

Island Cove is a hotel and leisure park located in Kawit, Cavite.  It is only 11kms from the Coastal Toll way and easily reachable via the new CAVITEX. It's been a long while since we last visited the place. When hubby had his practical in Basic Safety Training , we decided to stop over for lunch.

A Journey to the Past

We made a short trip to Bataan on a rainy week end, just to take some time off from the busy Metropolis. Out of curiosity, we  decided to visit Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, because it will be the venue for  the 2015 APEC Summit .

After a two hours and a half drive from Manila with moderate traffic on the way, we reached the place. It is a heritage resort hotel with some recreational amenities, where the sea meets the land. Las Casas, as it is commonly called, is an open-air museum and a heritage park located in Barangay Pag-Asa in the Municipality of Bagac, Province of Bataan.

The catch, are the midget service crew who are very friendly and polite.

A quick but meaningful stay at Boca Chica

We stayed at the Port of Caucedo in Dominican Republic for only four hours.  However, we managed to take a quick visit to the town of Boca Chica because of it's proximity to the pier. It was only a ten minutes drive and we can very well see the  beautiful coast line and crystal clear water along the way when going in to the port. The sights we passed by, made me more curious to take  an eye witness account of the place.

Visiting the Municipal Museum of Algeciras, Spain

It was spring time last May 8, 2014 when the vessel called the port of Algeciras in Andalucia, Spain. A perfect time to roam around and visit the town's treasures. It may not be a big town but it is rich in history and art. Immersion to the Spanish culture who had an influence in the country that I came from was a valuable experience. While we study the language in school, it was a different experience when we have to speak and communicate with the locals in their own lingo.
